Community Based Detention Shelter

Community Based Detention Services (CBDS) is designed to provide short term residential care to youth who are accused or adjudicated of juvenile offenses and who are awaiting pending court action or who are awaiting transfer to another facility. This is a delinquent group home and utilized as an alternative to secure detention. Services are provided by NET. The program capacity is 15.

CBDS Criteria

Youth eligible for admission are males ages 13-17 generally pre adjudicated first time or youth who pose least risk to community. Youth not recommended for placement include youth with active, untreated psychosis; youth with homicidal or suicidal thoughts; youth with violent incidents while at PJJSC; youth with gun charges; youth AWOL from treatment facilities; and youth with history of fighting or injuring staff. Youth committed to the state for placement.
