Community-based alternative to long term residential placement. The ERC staff supervises adjudicated youth five days per week and every other Saturday. Their hours of operation are 4pm-8pm and focus upon cognitive behavioral change, pro-social development, positive community integration, court appearances and reduction of future recidivism. Youth are also fed a nutritious meal and dropped off at their home nightly after the program completion. Youth are also subject to GPS monitoring while attending ERC. This program services males only and is provided by NET. The program capacity is 20.
Post ERC Criteria
The Post Adjudicatory (POST ERC) is an alternative to placement
- Provider: Northeast Treatment (NET)
- Referral must be made, and youth must be accepted by program to be committed
- Eligible youth: male, ages 14-18 adjudicated of any misdemeanor or felony charge with NO history of out of home placement. Youth are on traditional probation and have incurred violations risking youth being placed in residential setting
- GPS is required. Youth can be stepped down prior to discharge
- 6 month program
