Community Intervention Center

Community-based alternative to long term residential placement. The CIC staff will supervise both males and females, transgender, LGBTQIA+ who are on deferred adjudication status five days per week and every other Saturday. Their hours of operation are 4pm-8pm and focus upon cognitive behavioral change, pro-social development, positive community integration, court appearances and reduction of future recidivism. Youth are also fed a nutritious meal and dropped off at their home nightly after program completion. Services are provided by NET. The program capacity is 20.

CIC Criteria

The Community Intervention Center (CIC) is for a youth on deferred adjudication at risk of further penetrating the court system

  • Provider: Northeast Treatment (NET)
  • Referral must be made, and youth must be accepted by program to be committed
  • Eligible youth: male and female, ages 13-17 who are on deferred adjudication with or without interim probation
  • GPS discretion of court or probation recommendation
  • 3 month program
