Child Abuse Prevention Effort (CAPE)
CAPE’s mission is the prevention of child abuse and neglect through direct intervention with the community and families who need assistance and guidance.
CAPE’s Community Education Program offers workshops for parent groups on child development and relationship building; presentations to professionals provide an overview of issues related to child abuse and neglect. Programs can be customized to meet the needs of the audience. In addition, a variety of Parenting Collaborative workshops help men and women learn to initiate and/or enhance the process of unification with their children.
CAPE’s Emergency Family Fund provides for the critical needs of clients served by NorthEast Treatment Centers, Inc. who are currently involved with the child welfare system or at risk of becoming involved.
